Content:

  • Have you ever been to a website and couldn't find what you were looking for?
  • Or the search engines gave you a page of results but none of them seemed relevant to what you were after?

If you want to get a high conversion rate (changing visitors to customers) and return on your investment from your website, it has to provide what your visitors are looking for.

A study by Forrester Research shows that over 75% of all website visitors come for content. Most people are on the Web looking for something. They enter search terms and follow links looking for information related to their search term.

When they land on your website it is the content that will either make them stay and click further into the site - or leave in the first five seconds

If you want visitors who come to the site, have a great experience and come back again - offer them content that meets their needs.

Eye track studies and user testing has shown that people read differently on the Web. Reading on a screen is harder than in print. Content must be organized for the web environment so that it provides an easy and pleasant experience to your users.

Search engine results depend to a large extent on good content based on keyword research.
